some of the chinese translated to english are pretty good, like a friend chan may bo....eng is maybo...it's a unusual name but sounds nice
Chinese name first. But actually, I have my English name before having my Chinese name, that because my parents' friend named it for me
i got english name first as my parents decided to give me english name as i was born in london... ernn my chinese name is totally different from my english ^^
My parents (dad) was crazy. My English name has the same meaning as my two brothers' names ("Gift of God") -- our Chinese names have exactly the same number of strokes. My middle character is "virtue" (tak) and all of our 3rd characters are related to it. But yeah...my names are independent of each other, neither was "first." However, my my legal first name is in English, my middle name transliterated from Cantonese, and my surname is my surname. It's a good system I think
i also only have a chinese name. but i gave myself a english name a few years ago because of all the confusion it caused-_- but i'm proud of my chinese name =)
I was given a Chinese name and then immigrated to the United States when I was young, but now, I have an English name.
They gave me my Chinese name to start of with and then eventually, they came up with an English name for me.
english name first, when i started chinese school when i was 5, is when i got my chinese name. few years ago had name changed to calvin
apparently my Parents gave me my English and Chinese names at the same time.... there isn't really a connection between the two......
