Chinese name first. But actually, I have my English name before having my Chinese name, that because my parents' friend named it for me

My parents (dad) was crazy. My English name has the same meaning as my two brothers' names ("Gift of God") -- our Chinese names have exactly the same number of strokes. My middle character is "virtue" (tak) and all of our 3rd characters are related to it.

But yeah...my names are independent of each other, neither was "first." However, my my legal first name is in English, my middle name transliterated from Cantonese, and my surname is my surname.

    It's a good system I think :)
