something like that happened before, think it could have been worse, .. I sent a resignatin letter meant for colleague to edit ... and I cc-ed my boss instead. luckily for me, my boss replied " was this meant for me...?" my reply was:" fat finger error, apologies, but the truth hurts ..."
Wow, your boss took it so easy, seems like a nice person and easy to get along with, so how come you'd hate him?
ouch! haha but seriously it could be worse! it really wasn't that bad. I actually sometimes diss my boss to his face, but i think that is because i have that kind of relationship.. and no it isn't a part time job... but then again my diss is usually just a tease. besides not bad as this one girl i know who sent a really raunchy email to her coworker that she was screwing but accidently cc'd someone in another office in a different city. like seriously dirty emails to coworkers! for one thing i would be so scared i would be fired.. remember that even though u delete ur email, stuff u do will be server for quite a bit. at least ur boss seems okish about ur email.
... I told him the truth, I was looking for better opportunities ... there isn't much I could learn. He initiated to send me for upgrading coures, and I got a fat raise when PFF came along ... I guess I am lucky, he cared enough to show how much I meant, and opened doors of opportunities for me ...
Your boss' reply sounded ok...not sure what he is really thinking, at least he tried to be professional... However, you should ALWAYS BE CAREFUL WITH WORK EMAILS! It's probaby better to keep complaints to yourself to be safe or to people you trust...
yep. absolutely right. With some e-mail systems, u can change the reply into replyto all. so be really careful. I think emails are used for work comments only. The biggest mistakes are when u send it to the wrong people., write down the wrong stuff. hmmm. are you still there? This thread looks old.
I think you should confront him about the toothbrush. You didn't like the fact that he spoke with his boss around your cube which I understand. It's better to talk things out instead of keeping it bottled, it doesn't make it easy for you and your work in the company. Also if you don't like your boss have you think about changing departments or companys?
"Like, I know I'm d shiznit, but still… I don’t want them around. =P" I think your boss is pretty nice. At least it seems he won't be coming around with a toothbrush anymore.
Well at least boss didn't take it seriously and tried to play it off with joke. I would hang low for week.
