You should send her articles about bleeding to death or how behaviors like that won't help. The bf should e freaked out and is probably best to breakup with her. The relationship just sounds messed up.
It isn't a matter of selfishness but one of psychiatric illness. The girl in question is in serious need of professional intervention before she comes to self inflicted harm, injury, or death. Similar to how someone would react if they saw another having a heart attack, the girl should be brought to a crisis center in order to save her life. :rolleyes2:
