I Was Born In The Uk And Through My Parents,had Managed To Obtain The Smart I.d Card. Only Was At The Office For About 20-30 Minutes......scannned My Finger Prints And Scanned My Iris. Done And Dusted!! Got My Card Within A Week.
yup i got my smart id too...but my pic sucks on it big time as my rents were so worried about getting it we got it like the 2nd day after landing in hk so i was like jet lagged so got like the most terrible picture >.<
I have perminant HK ID-card and HK SAR Passport. BTW besides the above mentioned, there are other ways to obtain an HK ID-Card: - Working and staying in HK for 7 continues years - Join the Special Talent Program of the HK Government - Get married to a local or person with HK-ID -bigsmile
I have a british passport and a HK ID Card ^_____^ but i have to goto HK every 3 years or i wont be able to renew it ^_____^

aw man vinnie boy thats so unlucky but how can ya be so dense i mean its pretty obvious if you're gonna have a pic taken when you go to that treaded immigration tower -lol tong tong - to right...i saw my por por and kung kung's ID cards and they're pics look good...>.< and mine sucks like big time...so ashamed of it...but gotta say it does look very snazzy dont ya reck
Yes, I have a Permanent HK identity card - the latest one with your fingerprint on it. I think is quite cool not that I would show it to everyone on the street... I mean deep down inside.
yea i knew they were gonna take a pic but i thought they would use a proper camera instead of a webcam and i thought they were gonna do it later
^ haha guess the guy you had was having a bad day but mind you it cant be that bad coz its gotta have your eyes open and stuff becuase on my 1st take of the pic i had my eyes closed so had to re-take it again -lol
^that is true hmm well i dont care aslong as i have a card which allows me through the fast lane in immigration then im fine ^^
^ i guess so as the queue toenter hk with a UK or other passports are huge i was so happy to breeze past with a ID card
^same it wouldve taken me 2hours for me to get out but with my Hong Kong ID it took less than 5 min p.s. how did i know it was gonna take 2 hours?? Cos i saw a buff girl in the queue and when i went out i had to wait for my auntie (whos always late and unreliable) i saw her come out around 2hours later
yup = = imagine having to line up with loads of sweaty fat british people = = not nice lol speacially when the feel like stretching their arms lol
