Well, this thread in particular is just begging to be flamed. If it were titled anything less sexist, it would have been a great topic. But since it sounds like a reference to some guy's not-so-secret fantasy THAT is why it sounded wrong and offended (probably only me).

So yeah, unless you are prepared to start a "sister" thread for women having harems of men, make your thread less gender specific helps to reduce having yourself antagonized.

I do believe that you have respect for women... I just also believe that deeply rooted in you is that you respect men MORE than women. If you really thought equally, the topic wouldn't have said "for men"

If you think both genders can have multi spouses, than you wouldn't have used the word harem (which means several women to one guy, not the other way around).

You're not the first person I've ran across who've thought this way, but I truly believe it's a complex guys have based on insecurity + genetics. They want to be married to several women (so that the women will have to be loyal and faithful to their him), while he's allows himself to fantasize about multiple women. Genetically speaking, guys want to spread their seed as far as possible (dominance) and don't want anyone planting in their soil (to confirm it's their offspring).

However, in our modern society, guys and girls are allowed to date several people and not be frond upon. But a socially conditioned confident guy that really believes in that equality, wouldn't require marriage to bind their women. When both believe they've found the cream of the crop, they can marry and be loyal to that one person.

I forgive you tho, 13 year olds deserve a 2nd chance, and this is probably the best place to vent this type of stuff out so you don't get slapped in the face in person.

P.S. Finding a person to love isn't "luck" based. It's skill based.

  4. a lot of ppl tells me that... i used to believe in it too... but the reality is 70% of marriage in australia end up getting divorced... and the numbers r still raising... n it's very hard for me to belive all those 70% just happened to b the wrong guy or girl... and they asked the 30% to rate how happy their marriage is... n none of them rated over 30/100

I believe in monogamy... Headaches given by your multiple spouse will definitely shorten your lifetime (contrary to the belief that marriage lengthens your life). Plus, monogamy ensures better survival of yourself and your children. That's why certain animals have turned monogamy. It is better to have 1 wife and 3 children who are graduated and doing well in the world than 5 wives and 7 children who only made it to secondary five and have to work in construction sites? Plus the more members you have the house, the more your spare time gets divided up by. Your family will suffer from severe lack of attention and love. So it's not a happy family. =.=" Guys should grow up. If you don't like sharing your partner, don't expect your partner to like sharing you.
