oh my god... I'm the first one who doesn't consider herself chinese :S .. maybe I look like a chinese, but I don't feel like I'm a chinese :S maybe .. because I can't read/write... en my knowledge about chinese culture is very * hmmmmm...:S
Re: Do you consider yourself Chinese, if you werent born in China but your parents we i wasnt born in china buh i still consider myself chinese...it's in the blood! lol..it doesnt matter where ur born..it's wut u r.
i mean, it's in your blood, even if someone doesn't feel like it, it's still in their blodd. i guess it depends on how much you adapt to your Chinese culture to make you feel like Chinese or not, but deep inside, you are one.
i was born in america but basically 100% chinese...i think all asian ethnic group should know how to speak in their mother-langugage. Your language is very unique to yourself and in america it is cool to speak 2 languages instead of 1. By having 2 language, you can probably score jobs easier cause you can help communicate with other people in your native-language. Make an effort to learn it...if your parent speaks it. Why don't you? It's not hard if just try it. You have the tongue to pronounce it unlike many non-chinese people which literally butcher each word. I'm not saying that i know how to read or write well but at least be able to make conversation. just my opinion so dont kill//flame me lol
i agree with the above post... it's like where u originated from i guess... plus ur parents pass down culture..history and tradition...therefore you are chinese
yep, i still consider myself chinese, even tho i can't speak it and my dad was born here while my mom was born in HK
I consider myself Chinese although I was born in Canada. I live and study here. I may dress like a Canadian..but no doubt of course I'm Chinese..it runs in my blood.
Absolutely YES! Whatever where you born, it won't change your race isn't it? (Some people who born in Hong Kong says they are "Hong Kong People" not Chinese, but the parents are proper Chinese, funny : \?)
Lol, i am a chinese, but neither my parents are from Taiwan, but my Grandparents are. So i guess i consider myself as a Taiwanese?
Thats what I dont get really, Hong Kong is in my eyes part of China. So I see HK people as Chinese. I was born in HK but I always see myself and HK as Chinese
yeahhhh i consider myself a chinese even though i was born in australia. i'm really proud being a chinese... i wouldn't want it any other way.
Yes, I consider myself chinese (even though I was born and raised in Canada) and am making an effort to learn cantonese and embrace my culture.
