I think mine's fine....my grandfather name me my chinese name and my cousin' too as well as my brothers....guys go...."wong ____ ho" and girls goes like..."Wong Wei _____" so yeah, I think it's cool!
my name is a bit boring and common? but i still like it "wong man wah" =P...ppl dont call me wah wah tho haha..but man man.
I don't really have a chinese name. My parents made one up but they never use it. They just call me Ben Ben. The one they made up is Chan Cheok Hin. I guess I like it. =P
i dun think so... nopes not a chance =X well maybe if i soemday become a star!? LOLS! which is pretty much impossible
stars have to change their names so that it's more catchy / for feng-shui purposes.... and it would not be wise to use your real name anyway... ... i never use my chinese name though. i don't have to use it (am not living in a chinese-speaking country), and i don't really like it
I like my chinese name...it's harder to find someone with exactly the same name as you like our English names.
i don't mind my name, but most artists change it cuz the feng shui (???) masters say it'll bring them more luck or something. idk. i may change it in the future, but i think id' be danged weird at first, ya know?
I prefer people to call me by my english name because it sounds more modern and it is easier for people to remember it.
I like my Chinese name , Dont hav a english name though =[ cant find sumthin dat will suit rlly ... fo now Mandy is ok but my parents dont lik it so its considered as a nick . My chinese name is fine if say it in chinese it sounds cute but in english .. lik my classmates it sounds weird.. my name is Hau-Man so my classmates n teachers call me Man , so u see , we read sumthing from the book and it says "Man......" everyone starts to laugh xD Its just botherin me that ppl make fun of my chinese name n dats wat most ppl do here but I can handle it =] I wont change my chinese name dats for sure =]
When I was younger I didn't like my name 'cause it sounded ugly and like a guys name (I'm a girl ). But I've accepted it at this point, I like my familyname 'cuz it bonds me to my family and my surname I can accepte it. If you ask everyone around me they can't see me with another name.
i don't think i would change mine either cuz my grandparents gave me my name and i love them to pieces!
Whether you like your Chinese name or not, Doesn't make any difference if you decide to change.... You're parents are still going to call you by your given Chinese name..... So be proud of it! -clapclap
