God vs Science.... who is weak?

"God for the weak" eh... a common argument by scholars - scholars that religiously worship (believe in zealiously) theories made from other faliable human beings.

Being a student of Sociology myself, I am use to seeing those who believe they are intellegent mocking and laughing at thoughts of God, devil, Spirt, soul, angels..... Do such non-believers claim to have no soul? :afro:

'World started from a.. A Bang! (a big one) ... that started from... something... that came from somewhere... - um... don't forget to revise the theory because the planet Saturn spins in a way that counters the original theory..... good thing the "bang" didn't place the entire earth a few centimeters closer or further from the sun, lucky? yes... bang up luck. ' :jump:
or all would be long dead - or rather never live

But good humans who have determined their own origins in the last century are CORRECT... right??? even though these intelligent humans continue the big bang by blowing eachother up... robbing eachother.... destroying the planet? ? ? -wait no, they seem rather "stupid". (don't excuse the generalization)

But if the concept of "God" was only to assist oppressed peoples.... why did the egalitarian societies of Native American societies believe in a God, one God over all. A society that revered and respected the animals and even inanimate objects?

Why is the belief in God, or higher beings, UNIVERSAL?
That is key. It (belief in God/higher beings) is found in most every culture and peoples.

Please concider when listening to the 'academics' which have made scholarly things their religion - which rejects human experience, human existance, human SOOOUULLLL :punk:

Anyway, I personally believe there is a God. Yes.

When I listen to music, I can feel it - what nerve and scientic purpose does that serve? -"what is love? baby don't hurt me.. no more"

Don't let society and acidemics turn you into faithless robotic emplyees please - Live - life isn't a fluke.

    do it. I dare you.

  5. I agree, who can prove that god exists? I think the bigger question should concern what religions teach and whether it is relevant to society

personal opnion: yes there is a God, regardless of what science says... i mean really, first law of energy, energy cannot be destroy nor created, yet we have so much of it now, and apprently sciencetists find that our universe still growing, so i mean come on... also big bang is suppsoed to be a reaction of matter and antimatter, which everything we have now came from the left over of antimatter....

but the point is, who created all this matter adn antimatter...? how can we have nothing, and the make something out of nothing...

so from what i have gathered so far, it looks like to ME that there is a god, but if anyone wants to share the reasons of why they think there is no God, i'd appreciate it

God and science different....or work together....
is there a god or not? i believe there is..can i prove it...good question....then why do i belive in God....faith perhaps....

  14. so check this out, I was taking an intro to philosophy class a few years ago, and we spent a lot of time talking about the existence of god and eventually we had to write a paper on it. So I spent all this time writing a paper saying god does not exist blah blah blah because I was a kid that for some reason wanted to challenge this. The teacher gave me a d on the paper and the chnace to rewrite it. so I tried again and whipped out a quick little paper about why god does exist and I get a b+. Point is that I think unless you have it completely drilled in your head that god does not exist, there are many more reasons to belive in some form of god

If God created us, who created God? Did he come out of thin air? From Nothing to Something?

well that's a question lots of ppl (especially who believe in science more than they believe in God) would ask. but then... if u believe nothing (including God) can come out of nowhere... how the hell did time and space exist in the first place? where the hell did all those elements i.e. carbon, oxygen, etc. come out from?

i'd like to know, why does is matter who created god? if u don't understand god, how u expect to understand the whatever that made it?

really, if u wanna talk about god, fine, but u gotta keep in mind, as soon as u use the word god, u must be open to that fact to miracles and such... its much too complicated for people to understand.

example u know how god made universe? i know i don't, where did he get all this matter from, only he knows, so really if u r not open to the super natural then don't even mention the word God... for i think God lays within faith, and faith ays within God.... personal opnion
