Yes I think there is a lot of good Hong Kong Artist singers. Especially Twins they are improving so much! I like a lot of their songs!
i don't want to give my opinion on the newer singers, let's just say that i miss the older generation artists.... i mean, they sang the most memorable songs and have great voices. not saying all of them are great, but most of them are worth mentioning. but then again, with the current trend/generation of music, the older artists would not be able to sing the newer blend of songs.
a lot of HK singers aren't very talented, i dont think. for example: Twins, Boy'z, Alex Fong, Theresa, Miriam (but she has improved a LOT), and i can go on forever. but some can actually sing. as for the childish thing.. i think it's to get the teenagers/teenboppers' attentions. Twins were like that, and now they're becoming more mature with their songs. but that Mandarin "Wo Xiang Ai Ta" song they have... it's horrible.
There are some HK artists (and especially a lot of the new ones) CANNOT sing. They usually come from a modelling/acting background and unfortunately with the entertainment industry as it is, they have to get involved in all sorts, uch as singing even if they can't. Because of the lowered standards these days, I don't follow the HK-pop scene most these days

Coco Lee Other than these singers, I don't have a lot of respect for many other Chinese singers. Others may have good songs, but they don't sing it well. Even others have unique/good voices, but don't have the power or control over their voices. They need to go take professional singing lessons instead of karaok'ing into the industry *shrugs*

I agree, alot of the HK singers are manufactured, and there a only a few good ones. Nonetheless, I follow the HK entertainment scene very closely, and don't mind it.
now i wouldn't say Joey was ugly. or really talented. but yeah i guess it's true. most of those who have good voices are ugly. except for a few lucky ones.
^ what i think joey yung has a really great voice plus great looks... she rocks!!! and i dont believe in all thats stuff about her having surgery at all i think its all rumours more than anything NOTE: Support Joey Yung!!!
lol xD... im not saying she sucks. i mean i still listen to her music and i think she's improved a lot. it's just that i think there are a lot of singers that are much more talented than herself.
i think some record companies are just cashing up young cute celeb into a package. Some really can't sing well.
some singers cant sing but they got looks haha~ but still lots of singer with good voices, joey, janice, deep...etc
