I think a lot of people in their daily lives are able to refrain from violence because of their religion. Even atheists in religious places are affected by the values of the religion, because they permeate throughout the culture/society. Do you think religion has prevented a lot of violence and conflict?

 

we would have to live in a world without religion to compare it to this one to answer this question, without that you will only receive opinion rather than fact.

 

It also creates army of fanboys eager to have pissing matches with people of other religion about whose imaginary super being is best.
