Nature or god dictates that you speak in a different accent and in a different grammar! That's why English is spoken in thousands of different accents around the world. It is a proven law of nature that even English people who spoke with a certain accent change their accent when moved to a different geograhical area. Do not apologise for speaking English in a HK way, that is the way it is meant to be, correct all those Aussies and Amercians who live in HK to tell them to correct their accent to the HONG KONG way! That is the correct accent in HK! Also language is a living thing and it changes with the way people want to use it. You just look at any major languages around the world, most of them are not commonly used. Latin is one such big example, if everyone continues to speak Latin and write Latin grammar as it was then there would not be so many languages and dialects in Europe and this evolution took place in about 2000 years. So every 100 years which is about 5% of the 2000 years you would expect a language or a accent to change by 5% as a ball park estimate!
