She probably re-opened Po Chi Lam.. but renamed?

I think you should record yourself doing some Hung Gar or w/e you practice. Lets see how good you are :)

Wow! Cmon! I bet they're all see lai's. Not that i'm a sadist.. but i like what happened to them. When was the last time so many people died in a series?

This was ok at best, I was hoping it get better as it went on, it did have few decent scenes but was to long for it's own good, some good performances all round though.

Main character was suppose to Liu but the scenes she gets are not outstanding, she should have gotten a lot more attention and focus, 1/3 the way in she suddenly falls in love with Wong Fei Hung, no build up, chemistry, nothing, makes no scene, then around 2/3 way in, focus isn't on her any more, only to appear in the last 2 eps.

Hard to judge her acting since she was dubbed, the dubbing was good, it fit her well, I wouldn't mind seeing more of her in the future if she can get rid of her accent.

I found Eddie and Kenny very under used in this, also Oscar, his character got off easy for child snatching but I enjoyed the chemistry between him and Liu(they make a good couple), he needs more roles and a comb:D

Ending was still normal tvb standard, nothing special, just more body counts, 2 things didn't make any scene, first, how did Kenneth's men not find the diary?
Second, Where in the world did Leung get that big knife from, was she hidden between her legs or what, for someone who wanted to leave everything behind, this makes no scene, why would she even have one, it's not like she could predict Kenneth appearing, mess up.

its just stupid how they complain about stuff like that.....does every series has to be for kids? isnt war more cruel and bloody than that? deal with it!

  7. oh yea now I remember.. and the retarded brother... obviously he knew kung fu.. yet he only did like 2 scenes where he used it, which was kinda pointless. So yea, the retarded brother was stupid to have in the series in the first place.

^ Hong Bong was not suppose to be retarded historically, hes suppose to die for a fight and not Hong Yip, hence Wong stopped teaching his children

and to answer another question of why Leung had a knife and predicted Kenneth showing up

    A. Kenneth was fleeing, he had two options to escape, Ship or train
    B. Maybe she wanted to be a chef =P

please watch the scene again, where kenneth and his wife board the train.
There is a lady selling pear with the knife in the basket. She even offer to peel the skin of the pear to one of the customer.

There is no way Leung could be at right place at the right time, so she couldn't predict when Kenneth would appear there, also the fruit lady is already in the next train carriage by the time they sit down.

top 7 in my Best TVB drama list...I think the series was pretty good.

Best series in 2011 so far and better than the most series 2010.

Did Wong Fei Hung die in a fight like that too?

Didnt know that this was a real story lol... seemed too fake xD

No Wong Fei Hung did not die in a fight, I believe he died peacefully in GuangDong

but yeh as I said, Leung probably did have a huge knife up her sleeves, girls trying to be a big chef wherever she ends up, it just Kenneth showed up, and it was convenient for her to use that knife early =P

^ You do know that Once Upon a Time in China is not accurate...its just a story to glorify Wong,

Jet Li never performed Hung Gar, and I remember seeing an interview that he refused to do Hung Gar cuz he was representing China Wushu, hence all the flashy moves in the movies, Hung Gar is more stance foot work than high flying kicks.

  17. of course.. but jet li was badass..

unless we're talking about the Original Ol' G.
