ManU payed 20m for Nistlerooy and were ready to put that into Hargreaves, who is a proven world class player, in January... Rooney was bought for 18m... He was the best midfield player for England during the last world cup. He has been with bayern munich all his playing career so can't be bad as you had suggested. Man U will only buy him if under £20m.
