Facebook opens profiles to public

when u fix ur privacy settings does that mean no other facebook users can see u anymore?
because there are like how many users on facebook?

it means they can like see my pic and where i am from like basic info, but they cant like go directly to my profile if you get what i mean, cause my explanation is pretty bad
