The thing is that Zhang Yi-Mou wouldn't have anything nice to say about her... That's why her character is particularly b!tchy in Curse of Golden Flower...

Yup, I never did like his story lines. They are sooooo loooong and soooo boooring. I just like the colors and visual effects in his movies...maybe he's not even the one who is responsible for that =P In general, I find mainland productions pretty boring....they try too hard to be artsy...like they're writing it to get into the oscars or cannes....not because they are passionate about it.

Ahahaha, I call that the "Chip 'N Dale" costume lol. I don't think I'm at the point of being able to wear that costume yet. Maybe another 5 yrs of hard work on my body. Arms and legs I have....pecs & abs I do not =P

Yeah, the visuals were great...felt like I was high haha. And yes, the story sucked really bad.... He did? Holy crap, does he direct every movie that makes its way to the US? Wong Ka Wai needs to work harder and make more films in the US....

Meh, Wong Kar-Wai is HUGE in Europe as far as I know... collaborated with Steven Soderbergh and Michelangelo Antonioni for Eros and all Plus Zhang is still playing that "we are the exotic Chinese filmmaker" card with his OMG-it's-so-epic films
I remember watching a bunch of BMW 20min short story films directed by Wong Ka Wai for the Europe arm of the company...was really well done. Isn't Eros the first time he's directed a film like that? I always saw him as an action movie guy for whatever reason... I hate the "exotic Chinese" crap....so stereotypical. Now every foreigner who buys into these films expect subserviant Asian women and Kung Fu Asian guys =P

He made great films (which I adore... rarely the case of Hong Kong filmmaking industry), was the 1st Chinese to win the Best Director Award at Cannes film Festival (1997), was selected President of the Jury for the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. He's GREAT!!! -^_^ @ribsandbbqbeef: It was from "The Hire" starring Clive Owen and a series of UBER-FAMOUS directors including Tony Scott, David Cronenberg (I think), Ang Lee, John Woo, Guy Ritchie etc... It was a great marketing campaign for BMW as the DVD was a huge hit...
