it is unfortunate but many people dont think the same way as those that are educated. I always thought that you protect the family, not to hurt the family... sad/
I had read about this on the newspaper yesterday and it really disgusts me that there is another "Fritz". Not exactly 100% "K 形", Its more of a 50-50 chance
It doesn't take that much time to read the article, don't be lazy and make a useless post. Anyways, this is just disgusting. Its like some weird Japanese fetish gone wrong.
I would hesitate to blame the victims in this case. The father obviously had a Svengali hold on his family and in situations like that, it is nearly impossible for them to break out from under his influence. If you ever read up on the rationales of cultist vis a vis their victims (like with Koresh and the Branch Davidians, or the Jim Jones followers), it isn't something as simplistic as Stockholm Syndrome Reaction Formation (which is bad enough) but much deeper and profound in severity. These people would no more betray their father (the abuser) than they would step off a bridge. They have obvious distaste for what is happening to them, but so too, do they have ambivalence and hesitency towards taking proactive steps to stop it, especially if to do so would mean hurting their abuser. In essence, this is why situations like this, especially within insular communities, can be shrouded in secrecy with nearly unbelievable longevity or duration. Hence, before assigning blame to crime victims for their situaion, it's important to recognize that they often have been abused to the point where they are psychologically incapable of resisting. Remember the Hedda Nussbaum v Joel Steinberg case? Further, there are other dynamics involved in incestuous relations even though this is far from a classic definition (triangulation of emotional confrontation from the parents towards their innocent daughter). In this case the mother had already been removed from the picture by her early departure. However, the fact of having an authoritarian patriarch remains similar, and draw many parallels to the Josef Fritzl story (another contemporaneous case from Austria).
just sickening.. but wouldnt the daughter know that its called rape... and know that she's trapped down under? Something i dont understand...
there is indeed something wrong with this man, but to say our world is changing for the worse is a false claim. there has always been cases like this in the past, it's only due to technology, and the media, that we know about it. back then, it was obscure and isolated.
=/ if u have read the article they mention another case abt the austrian basement... which is a different case...
