i love escalators... i always wana run in the same direction it's taking me in cuz it's like... fast lol
Moving Walkways are fun like that, but you're probably going to look awfully silly if you walked back and did it again. Elevators, IMO, present far more problems than escalators could even give you. Just be confident, knowing that you won't get "sucked in" because they are designed to prevent that. (Unless you purposely circumvent that of course...) I mean, unlike elevators, you wouldn't be trapped due to failure or power outtage. With that said, however, open-view elevators offer awesome views! They're neat, too, of course.
in toronto, all the subway stations have taken down signs that say "walk left, stand right" because there have been so many accidents occuring on the escalators. i remember like a year ago, when there was like 13 ppl hurt in an escalator incident.
I like escalator, but one of my aunt is terribly afraid of them. She usually have to close her eyes and have someone lead her onto the escalators.
