Hmmm.. for the older version, is charmaine sheh inside the drama? Meaning.... gillian is taking over charmaine sheh's role last time?
This doesnt look good. I dont like the actors too. Bleh... Its all about the original one. The actors in the original is also better too. Plus it has that one Jacky cheung song to make it so cool. But I Believe the classic version is better. I'm not lying. If you watch the classic version you will feel quite hooked on to the movie and story. Unless you cant stand to watch them old quality movies...
Great cast!! and a great story, 'Flying Fox of the Snowy Mountain' REALLY looking forward to see this one!!! And yes, Patrick Tam is the guy with the sword.
the poster looks enticing; but what is up with the hairdos; they look awful; I really like the hairstyles of the 80s and 90s series of TVB; they looked prettier then
There were two TV adaptations of The Flying Fox of the Snowy Mountain (FFSM) made by TVB. In '85 Ray Lui starred as the male lead in the roles of Wu. In '99 Felix Wong starred as Wu Senior and Sunny Chan played Wu Junior. However, there are major differences between the two versons. Jin Yong Fans across the globe will recognise that '85 version followed largely the original novel, whilst '99 version became a mix match of scripts and a fusion of characters that had nothing to do with the novel. But, it is true to say the major plot remained the same! As a diehard and loyal fan of the novelist, of course I'd like to see the TV series following the original storylines, I have not yet reviewed '06 version and welcome others for discussion - but being a CN production, I would imagine the scenery, costumes and artistic interpretations to be fantastic, as all China productions are much better than TVB's!
