Sticky tofu= stinky tofu? I already have planned a culinary trip to HK so stinky tofy and Peking Duck skin in wraps are certainly one of the many things on my 'to eat' food list.
Mmm... just wondering something though. How safe is it for someone from North America to eat HK food? Especially food from lil stands? Ever got uhmm... intestines problem? >_>
it's per son to person i have no problem with it and i'm born and raised in Canada and USA but my friend who was born and raised in HK could never eat street food
Ahh I see i see. That's good to know, thanks. I'm going to HK soon and after seeing all those yummy food, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to try them. :x
Wow - looking at these have made me extremely HUNGRY! The street food in HK has laways been my favorite - cheap and so much variety! I wish I was at least close to Vancouver right now.....at least they have more-than-decent Chinese food!
Oh yes, I missed all those foods and snacks in HK. Loved the tofu and steamed rice sheet rolls!! -bigsmiles-bigsmiles
thanks for the wonderful pics! the food all looks so delicious! when i went to china and tried their KFC...it was much better than the US. they added some kind of spice to it...and well...i wish i could have that here.
looking at all those pictures is making me hungry..i wish i had the chance to try that many kinds of food when i was in hk...but yeah, the kfc there is so much better...wanted to try the po tart but it looked kinda funky,so didn't. will try next time i go back
oh god! your pictures make me *drooool! i've been to hong kong before and so far what i can't forget is the roasted goose [siew ngor] which made me feel like going agian. i would like to go there again to taste other hk delicacies such as the curry fishballs and stinky tofu.
You should try the dim sum+ tea in HK, they have really good dim sum and u can't get those dishes in north America, like fish head dim sum.
thats only if u pay for those high end ones... the cheapo stuff are so-so and all the same cuz the restaurant chain is so big that they buy from the same distributor and all they do is steam it for u... photos take in 2005 via China Airline from YVR to Japan to HKG
