I actually thought that all the movies in the After Dark Horror Fest wasnt scary at all and was disapointing considering the promotions and commercials they made for it seemed like it was going to be movies people wouldnt be able to handle watching. I personally only liked Rinne and Dark Ride
Do u happen to have them in ur collection? Are you able to upload them? Btw do u have a list of your fav. horror movies?
1. Sixth Sense 2. The Exorcist (hella funny) 3. Silence of the Lambs 4. The Shining 5. Battle Royale 1 & 2 6. The Eye 1 & 2 7. The Talented Mr. Ripley 8. Tale of Two Sisters 9. Rosemary's Baby 10. Saw I'm more of a psychological thriller fan.
^ Love The Talented Mr. Ripley even though it wasn't exactly a horror film. Did you see "Identity" with John Cusack? That was a good one too, though kind of predictable, but only kind of. Didn't like Battle Royale despite its popularity. The teen cruelty was kind of expected... and the final twist to the first installment was kind of... expected @_@b so...
Hmm yes, #1, #5 and #7 are probably drama/thrillers rather than horror Which part of Exorcist did u find funny? Thanks for your list!
^ Sixth sense got its horror moments even though it's more of a psy thriller overall... I don't know why, I personally find Exorcist funny too... Especially when they try very hard to put images of skulls on places (trying out the subliminal message thing?) And the girl walking down the stairs and throw up green goo... That was funny a la Ghostbusters
u can also check out ... BloodyDisguisting.com , it has some great reviews , clips and articles on up coming horror wat sucks is Hollywood is making remakes of all the good J-K Horror movies , that makes me wanna cry or better Kill
Yeah, I trully don't understand the popularity of RB! The idea was nice; put a bunch of juveniles from the worst schools together and let them fight for their life. The whole film is about shooting each other up like in an ordinary war film and that's it. I felt in sleep the first few timesI tried to watch it and it was only when I couldn't sleep I succeded to sit through the film.
Currently d/l Reincarnation from the horrorfest list Jz done with the Hamiltons, goin to check it out later... @Underemployed: Yup, for us Asians, there's nothing new with those Hollywood remakes. They may benefit the Western population who probably never watched the originals, but for us, it's pretty boring.
@Rayee: House of Wax was one of my guilty pleasures... very gory @Taxloss: Battle Royale got a great theme (teen cruelty + survival) but I think its fame is undeserved... I didn't fall asleep but I was not enthusiastic about BR2...
Yeah... I have a soft spot for Dark Castle Productions... Like Thirteen Ghosts, House on a haunted hill (new one) and the Reaping. I may not like them... but I end up seeing them repeated times...
^Wow was it tat gory? I remember seeing it once but was amused all de time by Paris Hilton.. didn't remember the gory parts... lol. I like thirteen ghosts too. Jz the introduction of all the 13 ghosts gave me a thrill. Opps.. 12 I mean.
Yeah, Dark Castle has a way to do cheap horror... quite enjoyable actually, although they are all very... unclassy stuff
Don't think so @_@b I have a bunch of films on my to-see list... So it will be a while before I can add more films to the list...
Naw, not really. I was seeing The Aristocrats the other night... The ultimate stand-up... Funny and gross.
