Does anyone know any good free video editing software? I'm currently recording my videos in both AVCHD(60i) and MP4 format and I'm editing them on Microsoft Windows Live Movie Maker 2011. The software is ok, it converts my AVCHD videos to lower resolution for editing and playback, but is capable of exporting in HD. The exported video quality is perfect. Also, there's not much effects and it's sort of confusing to use because there isn't a video timeline. I would like to switch to another video editing software that supports AVCHD and MP4.

I downloaded Lightworks, and it's really complicated. Actually, I'll stick with Windows Live Movie Maker. lol
