    Hard decision... depends on how close the girlfriend/friend is, I would say. But I seriously hope that I will never run into such a cumbersome situation!

    I used to just let my friends go for the girl and I'll jsut back off... the problem with this situation is that you and your friend need to understand that it isn't dependent on you OR your friend. It depends on the girl. If she likes you and not him, what kind of friend is he if he's putting you into that position.
