is ur neighbour a student then? anyway if u think about it everything is in control by those arabs who get the fuel as they are the ones to decide what to do with the prices and they also can help boom the economy or lower it whether they see fit with their prices. all the control is rele in their hands.
OPEC("those arabs") have no control over price... all they have control over is production, which of course has a lot to do with the price... however, the other side to production of course is demand... if only oil hungry countries like the US and China opted for more fuel efficient or alternative fuel source options, demand would go down and so will the prices... if i sold u a BMW for 1million dollars, would u buy it? no right? but eventually the lower i drop my price, the more incentive u have to buy my BMW... so no matter what i set my price to, you'd have to agree to pay =/
my car requires 91 octane gas. i paid 3.99 usd a gallon yesterday. cheapest around me i can find thats good gas. other places i see are over $4
i use 91 octane and the cheapest i've seen it go for is 4.15USD a gallon...the most i've seen is 4.60USD a gallon
we've actually hit $5 per gallon over here -.-;... for just one week... i paid $5.10 for 91... well.... i guess that's just for one fillup, but still
