I have no problem with it, but if there attitude stinks about being gay then it would be annoying.

The whole world dont need to know that your gay!

I think that as long as they are happy, we shouldn't interfere
I mean, it's not like they're trying to make US gay
And besides, I'm really open to this becuase half the people I know are gay, lol. It's almost impossible to be in theatre in the U.S. and not know at least one gay person
And seriously, half the time, gay guys are a lot nicer than straight guys 0_0

You do know that the statistics of christians getting divorced is ALOT lower (but not zero) than of those that are non-christian

you are saying it is sacred, but it's kinda hard to say that to someone who doesnt believe right?
you can't walk up to a non-believer and say, jesus told you that heaven is real. Doesn't matter if to the person cause it's not like they believe that Jesus even existed.

So i think your argument um er needs to reflect back to the subject.

besides you seem rather bitter if your talking about "love" as torture anyways

you also talk about our society now, church (christian and all of those of other religions) were not built by standards of today. They were built over thousands of years of research, and teachings.
are you saying what they believe is wrong, just because someone's opinion has changed today
just becuase one person's opinion changed today, therefore everyone's opinion in the past is incorrect?

I am totally not taking side in this gay issue discussion. But I think the implication that "older beliefs are better than newer beliefs" is flawed. Just because a belief is older doesn't make it any more authentic or true than a new one (otherwise we would still view the world as a flat rock with water above and below)

And as far as I know, I do not see church teachings are built upon thousands of years of research. First of all, according to the church, the world doesn't have a few thousands years under its belt yet; ALSO, when the belief is to "take the canon for granted as truth", I do not consider that RESEARCH.

Verity or truth do not base on whether one believes in it or not, one can totally NOT believing in the sun rising in the East tomorrow, but would that doubt change the fact that it's an accepted truth (that is unlikely to be false)?

As for divorce rates, not divorcing do not necessarily means not having extra-marital affairs... More to the point, if a couple isn't carrying their vow seriously (support each other through illness and health blah blah), the so-called sacred vow of marriage is as good as a invalid promise.

first, i do believe in marraige. i'm not trying to be hypocritical or saying that it is a bad thing. but i am saying that there is so much emphasis put into the fact that marraige is somehting that is important and should not include ppl who do not follow the norm. i just don't really understand why gay ppl aren't allowed to be happy too. when we all fall in love, we just wanna be with the one we love right? and if we feel like getting married shows our other half how we feel about them, then why shouldn't gay ppl be allowed to as well?

second, i'm not bitter above love. i have been in a relationship for 3 years and am as happy as ever. the "tortured love" was written sarcastically. but if u really think about, when we love someone, sometimes it really is torture because it is unbelievable how one person can have that much affect on u. well, that's how i feel anyways.

i understand that religion is of yesterday and today's society is different but at the same time, there has to be a recognition that things have changed. these ppl aren't killing ppl or hurting others. they are simply choosing who they love. where is the crime in that?

    I don't have a problem with homosexuals/bisexuals. They're still human.

What about the people in between? I don't love gays I don't hate them either. As long as they go about their own business and leave me alone. I don't see what the big deal is.
