lol wow this is actually an old thread wtf... newayz.... for those that say weight training will not help u lose weight are dead wrong... increased muscle mass will naturally increase ur metabolism, pair that with a a good diet, lots of water and protein and u will lose weight...

u will lose weight with cardio, no question about it... but if u were to lose weight via cardio alone, u will easily regain all that weight back in less time than u used to lose it... if u lose weight with weight training and muscle mass gain, u will lose weight AND be able to eat more and will likely see little to no weight gain...(but that's not to say u should to shoving down 5 double cheesburgers)

just don't look at the weight, look at the inches.

people have perfect bodies, even tho. they weight a lot.

if u want definition it's actually pretty simple without too much strenuous exercise as long as u eat properly. as everybody has already said, cut down on fatty foods, eat more protein... kinda like the atkins diet. after awhile your muscles should start to show through more.

the trick is to eat more carbs in the morning and exercise extensively in the afternoon (swimming and running).

Its all about your food intake!

The primary purpose of exercise is to help you improve your athletic attributes and your fitness, which consequently makes you more healthier. But that alone won't burn the fat off.

muscles are heavier than fat so i'l advice to do cardio (like running, swimming, aerobics, spinning and the like) and less weights coz they build muscles but do some weights to tone urself...
but also be careful what you eat too...

  10. cut back on the protein and do light weights quickly to burn off the fat :p

having more more muscle in your body actually helps lower body fat. So definitely do weights but for high reps and taking short breaks in between exercise. this will add an element of cardio into your weight training. Make sure you get a heart monitor so you'll know what your heart rate is when doing cardio.

basically the most important thing to losing weight is diet, however, by exercising u can lose weight at a faster rate as u burn calories. so if u want to lose weight the fastest, its best to do cardio with weights and make sure u eat well, so not much junk food, and u will lose weight. a lot of people think that not eating will make u slimmer, it does slowly but its bad for ur body and u won't notice much weight loss as ur body just goes into an energy saving state which means that the metabolism is a lot lower to maintain the body weight and ur muscles start to break down so u in effect losing muscle rather than fat. hence u get weaker and then weigh less but it is unattractive and it's also very unhealthy.

Don't make the mistake of skipping your meals in an effort to get rid of stomach fat fast. In fact, skipping meals often have the opposite results on the body: you will gain even more fat. Instead, you should modify your diet and eat only foods such as fruits and vegetables which are high in fiber and low on calorie.

If you seriously want to get rid of that extra belly fat then you will need to increase your metabolism to help burn away those excess fat stores. With a little effort and motivation simply changing your diet and starting some form of exercise program is a great way to start losing those extra pounds.

well what you need to cardio that is very important. and if you just want strength just moderate weights and more reps
by doing that you can tone up everything, get rid of fat, and most importantly keep your muscles
