lol when i get cramps... i take MIDOL!!! it really works!! xD its for cramps when u get periods..haha yeaaaaa...lmfao sometimes when i get cramps i jump around cause it hurts so much..LOL
I think the amount and degree of cramps depends on the flow of the period? I used to get heavy periods because I was a little heavier. But since I started a lot of exercise and change of diet, I have a lighter period therefore virtually no cramps.
omg gooood ques.. i wud love to knoe toooooooooooo>.< yea exercise alot minimises cramps bcoz of muscles etc.. also eat less oily food near n durin period time. drink lots of warm water or hot water when pain. put hot pack on stomach to ease pain. stroll.. OH i read from a medical health fact book.. hehe.. "having sex eases period cramps".. it's true bcoz the muscles are contracting etc.. BUT D BLOOOOODD EEEEEEWWWWWW... >.< oh one more thing is.. DUN EAT SO MANY PAIN KILLERS... they can b toxic to body if overdose or accumlated overtime.. unless u exercise alot to release toxic from body.. but still it is harmful..
That is totally true though! I remember before going on it I would puke after eating, or get really pale because the pain was so bad. but as kdotc states later the pill totally has side effects. I find if I try to cut down on salty foods and cold foods which i totally crave b4 my period and drink lots of water, it totally helps on the cramps. the best placebo one though I have to say is being taken care of when i am cramping really bad! hahaha Seriously being babied totally makes me feel better!
I heard you should eat a banana a day when you have your period because the potassium in banana will help to ease your pain, and you will have less mood swing too.
i hate cramps and back pain when i'm on pms.. i either eat two midol it really works... or if not.. i drink hot or warm water.. and it really helps too but instead my mom ives me these herbs or you can call it medcine thinggy to drink then you'd be fine after that...
suggestion to cramps when I have cramps I avoid cold foods and drink cuz it make the cramps worse then I take some over the counter "Women Tyenol" for period and sometime it helps and sometime it doesn't. When tyenol doesn't work I take naproxen prescription strength not the over the counter and then I feel better. It is hard what you need to go thru each month.
Some people suggest me to drink warm beverage. But also others suggest me to drink soda. It helps some in circulation of the outgoing blood.
I'm not a girl but you girls who get bad effects from your period should thinkabout using birth control. It will make your periods 100 times better. Less cramps, less mood changes, less everything bad. It also helps with acne. And you can skip 2 periods and have only 4 periods per year if you want to without having any adverse effects.
you can try those hot packs. its some plastic bag thing and u fill it up with water and warm it up in the microwave. then put it on your stomach....
hmm i get very bad cramps and pains during periods...what I do is lie down on the bed with a warm pad on your stomach where it hurts most and DON'T drink cold drinks and DON'T eat fruits such as watermelon and pineapple...(heard from old folks)...
Old post.. But I don't mind helping out.. I find that Vitamin E helps sooo much, if you take it a couple days prior and during your cycle, it will lessen the cramps and back aches, and of course there's always Tylenol, I only take that when I run out of vitamin e and need relief asap..(Caution: it is true that taking too much of that medication is not good for you, it damages the liver).. I also use the Tiger Balm heating pads, which work great on me! Drinking tea, or anything warm/hot really..and if you don't have the heating pads, a warm wash clothe or hand towel will work too.. I didn't know that bananas work lol thats news to me!
... i take ibuprofen. i know its bad to take medication but when i get cramps and backaches.... wow it hurts like no tomorrow... i take pills and then sleep.. and when i wake up im usually a bit better.. until the next day comes.. ><
Cramps are the least of my problems girls! I don't always feel really bad when I do on sometimes on my period, I just want to crawl up and die >.< ... I get very bad diarreoh (up to 7 times a day!), headache, tiredness and feeling sick to the stomach. I find lately that the Ginger Tea my mum makes helps, and also a hotwater bottle and sleeping helps, also not drinking anything cold too as well. Neurofen (Ibuprofen) helps too but I tend to try and stay away from this if possible as it not good for you and in the long run. >.<
I always get reallyyyyy bad cramps...that make u feel that ur whole body is weak, nausea, and even vomiting sometimes. I find rubbing oil on my stomach, a hotwater bottle + pills helps!! haha cos pills don't work immediately and it's really alot of pain!! :( I take nurofen too sakky101 haha it really helps!! But i also try to avoid it. That's why by the time i take nurofen, I really can't take it! that's why the hot water bottle and oil helps! But most of the time I end up taking it at least once per period. Cold water should not be taken! as well as sweets! I heard sugar is not good!
