    the obvious response. "sorry, im late" thats it. if she ask why? just reply honestly and thats it.

    just say sorry and tell her/him what the reason is if you just have a stupid reason, just lie then ;)

    lol just run over and start puffing a lot and say "im so sorry im late but...(whatever excuse)..." then catch ur breath and be like "please forgive me" giving her a apologetic look
