I think the term 'hacking' is somewhat misleading for the wannabe "hacker" who is just a cracker, as a real hacker would write scripts him/her self to modificate things but a cracker is only able to google the hacks other people have made and posing as a hacker, screaming from the roofs "hey hey look at me, I'm a hacker" like a 3 year old.
Hmm, I think the hacking situation has improved somewhat, at least in some of the games I play. I remember a couple years ago when I played on battlenet, people would use the crash hack. At any time of the game they could disconnect you from the game. And then for some MMORPG's people will actually hack your account if you got good items lol.
^Maphacks are so regularly used in Battle.net now.. even for the custom maps! (Dota especially) haha it's sad. That's why I prefer to play at a cyber cafe on LAN so that no one can cheat
I think that people who try to hack or to cheat on a multiplayer game are noobs 'cause it's just a game then it's made to give you pleasure, to have a nice moment to play, then just play it simply without cheat. Cheater or false hackers are bad for those who play the game and those who create the game. It's really really bad ^^. I play many multiplayer game and never cheat, I don't need to do things like that.
It's friggen annoying as hell. People who just autobot, or hack, or any type of cheating in game. A MMORPG game that have all cheaters for example: SilkRoad And people having aimbots or something on CS is just lame. -____-
Hacking Sux !!!! Especially when I ladder on wc3 xD. Its like go creep (other guy comes n creep jacks). Go to atk their base/harass (other guy is there waiting OR waits outside and hits you from behind. <=all maphack btw. The worst is when the other player is decent/has some level of micro skills plus map hack!! coz when u click your weak units away(somewhere on the map out from battle) the other guy will just send one unit to go and kill it -.- Also IF u try to fast tech. the other guy will just mass T1 units and bring workers and come finish u off >.< (without needing to scout) yeH...thats y i dont like hacks xD spoils my fun and sort of gets frustrating coz no win = no icon
^Yeah and you got to go thru the hassle of saving the replay, watching it then attach it together with ur report to Blizzard
there are players that are so bad that even though they know wat the other person is doing, they dont know how to react or counter their strategy
if they hack on a ladder game they are automatically banned from ladder games from that game on. their cd-key gets banned btw.
