CNY is important to our family!! were Lion Dancers!!! and judging by the amount of bookings we took, its not lost its edge!

But I do think its important to teach our next generation of kids whats its about, e.g - we teach about 10 kids lion dance from the age of about 6 to 15 and we actually sat them down for an hour and got my dad to explain a few things to them re. CNY!!

The 1st question my dad had was 'why do we get Lai See??!!'

as time progresses new inivations are always going to affect us.... just because we no write wit the brush does not mean that we chinese new year has lost mean.... i mean do u have a ponytail like chinese guys back in the 1800's ... does that mean u have lost your heiratage... no it mean that we have adapted.. chinese new year represents the coming of the new zodiac year.... it is the time of year where family comes first... anyone who has recieved a red envelope around chinese new year if keeping the tradition alive.

I love the CNY traditional food. but because my family are always very busy, we don't really get together to celebrate CNY. But in HK or china, it's a huge thing.

We celebrate CNY. But in the same time it is difficult to keep everything in the tradition way. Our family and relative kind of celebrate CNY in the "basis" way. I will absolutely keep the CNY tradition alive in our family in that extent it is possibly.
