if you want the squid balls, go to uneno, the market alongside the train tracks. or just look for shops that have cartoon sqiud as a sign. and once you know what it smells like, you really cant miss those places, lol. they are everywhere, really, often allso at tourist spots or festivals.
I went to Osaka, Nara, and Kyoto the past summer. The temples are really nice. Also there was this temple in Nara which has deers everywhere, It was Amazing!!!
I love Japan. Spent about a week there which, of course, wasn't enough. The local people were helpful, courteous and gracious. I left my wallet on the Pirates of Carribbean ride at Disneyland and didn't realize it until much later. Went back to the ride to look for it, was allowed in but of course, was too dark. Although the staff were not able to communicate much with me in English, I was directed to the Lost & Found and guess what? Someone actually brought my wallet to Lost & Found, nothing was missing and my holiday wasn't spoilt because of my carelessness. Would definitely go back!
i went there during spring/winter and saw alot of cherry blossom trees~ loved it. and Fuji-Q the amusement park was hella lot of fun~
i went to japan in summer 2008, was staying @ shinjuku washington hotel, but the stay was too short to visit the ncie places
Fuji-Q Highland!!! Fujiyama rollercoaster ride!!! hella scary at 79 metres high but fun too ~ i didnt go on the red one, too scary for me. i didnt wanna throw up. whereas the white one was under repairs at the time Y_Y Shinjukuu! <3 i stayed in Shinjukuu Prince Hoteru
i wanna go but not just for sightseeing and eating only. I wanna go to a concert/music festival over there too ^^ I've seen AKB48 and School Food Punishment live and made me wanna go and see my favourite Japanese artists perform live ~
Japan is awsome! I been there once and I want to go there again. At every rest area along the highway, there are food stands and supermarkets. It's just so exciting when arriving at every rest area. Their pornals are displayed next to other regular magazines. It is no big deal for constituents to flip through a pornal book at a convenience store. The flight attendents are beautiful and very well mannered. They would help you as best as they can. I got lost from my tour guide and one of them lend me her cellphone. I guess my look and charm helped a bit.
i disagree. the food is not that great. not nearly as good as food in the US. except for the quality of raw meats found in supermarkets. but restaurant food, cant compare to the US in terms of variety and taste.
it depends on what kind of environment u like to be in. Tokyo is not just a big city its a gigantic city where everything happens, Tokyo has a wide supply of restaurants, clubs, shops and all sorts of entertainments. The tempo is very high there are people constantly on the move. If u want to be a place that is more or less easier or calmer. I recommend Kyoto then. Kyoto is Japan's first capital city, where the all traditions began. And one of the cities who survived without any bombing during the 2WW. Kyoto have a rich cultural heritage, with all those beautiful temples, palace, gardens u name it =) since u want to have fun I recommend Tokyo otherwise it depends how u define "fun" im planing myself to study in Japan next year or something, but cant decide which city i want to live in >_> Kyoto has the better study climax I believe but in between I want to be in Tokyo and be a part of the happenings, well im still young and active and cant stop having fun =(
