It's because lots of people don't see the difference,but honest i think mongolians,chinese and japanese ect. people look very alike to.
Once or twice, and korean, and etc. The one I find oddest was someone thought I was Cambodian. It's because Asians have similar facial structure, and people who are not Asian can't recognize the subtle differences. It's true the other way around too...
Been mistaken for Japanese, Korean, Mexican, and Ecuadarian. Guess I look somewhat Latin but am 100% Chinese.
was in london the other week in this jap shop, they shop assisstent was speaking to me in japanese, i guess she assumed I was japanese.
been mistaken as singaporean because of my accent wen speakingcantonese!??!?!?! wtfffffff.... and random ppl say konnichiwa to me on the streets- but i think they just do that to every asian they see lol
when i was paying for stuff...the guy @ counter asked if i was jap...i say no....he say korean.....i say no...lol... he say chinese...n i say yes..lool xD 3rd time lucky =p
lol , never been mistaken as japanese , but loads of times as Filipino or Malayasian and im like Im not a Bun Jai lol !
Up until middle school people thought I was Japanese. But recently I've been getting "Are you Korean?"
at first people in school thought i was chinese well i am but then they thought i was japanese people gave me the nickname SUSHI for 2yrs then i got my point clear that i am chinese after 2 years!!! now everyone calls me by my name or surname
chinese, korean and japanse people get confused alot coz the western people just see "one" kind and they dont hear the difference between the languages
both chinese and japanese think im japanese. i was on the bus from the hong kong airport to my hotel and this couple starts talking to me in japanese and the first word i said was Oro
