I got a question: if people mistake you for Japanese, would you get offended? I currently live in the UK, and I've many times been mistaken as Japanese because people think I genuinely look like Japanese, even my friends and classmates think so. But when I correct them, esp. to complete strangers, they sometimes get quite apologetic, as if they'd just insulted me, like a white guy calling a black guy nigger.
I wouldn't mind being called Japanese than Chinese. Japanese people are more polite in more ways than Chinese
chinese is never their first guess...people tend to think im everything else BUT chinese...especially japanese, korean, and filipina.
im a chinese american living in japan. obviously, i get mistaken all the time! it pisses me off!! i dont even look japanese, i look 100% chinese!
Never been mistaken by ppl for being japanese, korean and viet. I hk Students talk to me in canto, but I canto is very limited.
