Have you ever been mistaken as Japanese instead of Chinese?

Been told i look japanese, korean, vietnamese, Pilopino, Malaysian....

I rekon it was my tan xD

 

I used to be mistakenly known as Japenese. I am a pure chinese, may be bcos i have a very fair complexion that makes me being mistaken by foreigner.

 

i was once mistaken for a jap when i was strolling the red light district in amsterdam....this guy just came up to me...said "konichiwa" and offered me some weed and stuff.....Left without speaking a word to him....If he offered me sumthing else thou....might have been a different story...kekekekke

Once i got scolded for dirty jap, after i beat the hell out of a white kid

 

noone has ever confused me to be jap....i have a few jap friends whos been confused as chinese though

 

i'm chinese and i've been mistaken as japanese a few times only, but only japanese, no other asian ethnicities, and these mistakes were made by white ppl only

 

i had been mistaken as japanese be4 also korean. i remember walkin into a korean deli and they assume i was korean so they began talkin to me in korean but i was like im not korean

 

White people try and guess what nationality i am, usually Korean or Japanese

 

People mistake me as Japanese all the time. They ask me if I came from Japan. A lot of people who meet me for the first time also think I am of Japanese descent. I don't know why though.

 

mm not Japanese. But I've been mistaken as a Korean though. Ah one girl at my school even thought that maybe I was Inuit..... ;;;;;

 

not really Japanese, but sometimes Korean.

I've gotten some people randomly coming up to me, asking for directions in Japanese.m.... My friend's worse, though. She's gotten Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean too.....she's from Guangzhou (sp?).

 

-.- I was asked if I was Korean, Japanese, or Filipino. And for that last nationality I ain't even effin dark or tan stupid white mofo's.

 

i love it when someone calls me korean, japanese, some other asian race. I then tell them that I'm actually chinese and then they have the gall to tell me its the same! Really??? so apparently the Irish or Scottish background that u are from is the same? or that just because a person's from the middle east they are all terrorist? jesus.... damn midwestern hicks

never been mistaken for japanese. Korean yes. not japanese. and if i was...i'd slap them. lol. yeah, i still have a generational grudge. *shrugs*

 

I have! Korean as well, Vietnamese one time, and even Filipino which i look nothing like.

 

Lol, me too. I've been assumed to be Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Singaporean, and Filipino. It's kinda weird.
