We were robbed a couple of years ago. A few thieves broke into our garage but didn't take anything of value. They did break our car window and door to get inside to have a look to see if there were anything worth stealing. We felt pretty angry at the time but it was probably more of the inconvenience it caused as we had to get the car repaired. In the end the police caught one of the thieves because he didn't wear gloves and left fingerprints on our car! I think we sort of thought more about how we could increase our security more. It made you feel more unsafe than anything else.
finger prints on car? that means the guy was known to the cops. also, it is alot of trouble to take the prints unless they think it is major...like related to murder
On my dad's birthday last year, 4 of his small trees in the front yard was stolen =_=;;;...It's really sad because when my dad bought them, they were all weak and dying little trees. My dad worked on them for weeks to get them all strong and pretty :\. I think the people who stole it were stalking us a bit. They stole the trees after my dad went off to work and before my mom took my brother to school.
^^ Trees can be worth money! (and if not they can be used in the fireplace for those who can't afford fuel...
I know =_=;;;...After the tree incident, my mom got protective of her potted plants in the front yard too =_=;.
^ It happened between 6:30-7:00 A.M. My parents and I deduced that it was a group of people who did it =_=;. The only tree they didn't steal was the weak, dying one with dying leaves LOL. GASP! How dare you D: I'll steal them back D:<
Thinking again about this subject+ that Banksy thread; someone at school did steal my masterpiece 'MeGaMe' (Mega Game) and I've a suspicion it was a classmate; after the exams I went back to school to pick up my work from art class and everyone in the last 2 year have a special large drawer in the class to put your paintings/drawings etc in. I greeted that classmate who was already there putting things in his drawing map and he looked surprised and went quickly away without saying something unlike the normal him. Didn't think much of it at first but now I remember he was impressed by that game I'd drawed (get yourself harmed and killed as often you can and avoid the doctors, nurses and medicines in the game*) and only that work of mine was 'dissapeared'. That A5 (heavy quality paper) was drawn with pencils I'd bought in HK and Germany and costed me literally blood, sweat and tears to finish it and some fckhead steals it! I've cursed the thief he 'll never get a job and he won't be able to produce anything in arts. -censored * If a teacher had looked at my MeGaMe drawing without reading the report of the why and how of this idea, they'll think I'm a seriously disturbed person.
lol that happened to a girl i know too, taxloss... got half her shit jacked from her high school art classroom, but there isnt much you can do about it... some people are just assholes
Woah half of her work? That's even worse! -shock If I'd know that could happen I would have taken pictures of it first. That particular work of mine somehow made a lot of impression on the guys in the class (no one expected a violent/bloody work by me, while every girl had something like Carebears themed board games and the guys sport themes) but what use would it have to steal it? It was a very clear style they can't copy that easily and without the report and sketches about the production process it's kinda useless. Felt so down after that, especially when the teacher said it was nonsense that someone would steal it, but I'm a bit of a control freak so I never would forget where I'd put my work and all the rest of my work was still there.
