I'm a huge fan of HDR lighting in photography. Here are a few pictures iv seen that are really outstanding. if your wondering how its done, you take pictures at multiple exposures and then combine them using a program like photoshop :) i cant wait to buy a good DSLR camera and try making a few HDR photos myself.

Don't need a good DSLR to do a HDR picture... of course it helps, but not necessary. If you take enough pictures, then you can do it. Photoshop has a automated ability to turn pictures into HDRs. It's not perfect, but it'll get you there.

Even if the camera can only do 8 bit channels, with enough pictures, and changing the picture to 16bit or 32bit mode in photoshop, you can still come out with some pretty good stuff.

Looks nice but I'm not a fan of HDR photos. I like the other creative ways instead:

Long exposure - I sat my camera on a ledge for a couple of seconds (Manhattan Bridge)

Light Painting - Left the shutter of my camera opened while using an LED light to write my name
    [IMG]

Color Contrast - I just like the way the colors looked
