Thanks goofnerd. I'll add these addresses to the main post. [rant on]I think I will give up on my wish though ... lol ... so it's the last time I will mention this since the BIG red bold text in the main post doesn't help either ... ummm, can you guys please add FULL URLs in a hidden section ? I would like to keep this information to members only, non-members can go look for the info on Chinese sites themselves.[rant off] So where were we ... ah ... the TVB channel in the Haoetv client is also working again, but you now need to select the live TVB stream manually. See previous post which has been updated. I'll add this to the main post as well if it turns out to be a reliable client.
i think this is not seriously? just work together to keep this online by the way, the credits is going to laod from fd zone
Nah, I won't do that (even though the wifey thinks otherwise ). The thing is, there are very few people (like you) helping to keep this alive. For Christ sake, I do not read or speak Chinese to begin with ... so how difficult would it be for those who do ? There must be a bunch of leechers, taking into account that this thread has been viewed nearly 50k times. Which brings me to the reason why I want to keep the links HIDDEN from non-members who are leechers by default.
Just want to say thank you to Phantoman who has spent a lot of time keeping this thread updated and to goofnerd for the recent posts on current TVB and ATV! You guys have been most helpful to us who lives outside of HK I know people supplying the stream is doiing on their own. But is there a way that we could contribute (e.g. Paypal) and help them to maintain the streaming instead of having to hunt for a new stream every few weeks? I for one will be willing to pitch in. Any thoughts on that?
if there is stream and Sopcast player just give black view, then try export the stream to a extern player like windows media player.
well i dont think it will work. fact is that sopcast / streamtorrent / pplive exist is because its costs nothing when tvb was broadcasting thru cable we did pay to see the channel. But everytime they changing their strategy ( from satellite to cable, now over the internet) so we stop watching it, cause every time we had to deal with purchasing new hardware. and u got to know who is providing the upstream from atv and tvb. do u know who do it? and why changing it from time till time?
That is exactly what I went through and when they moved to the internet; I said screwed that - I was not going to buy a media box just to watch TVB. I think in the past some of the ATV and TVB upstreams were provided by some TV stations in China because the commericals were replaced with mainland ones. But the recent ones are direct streams and I think from someone in HK. I imagine TVB and ATV complain to sopcast and sopcost has to kill the broadcast...until someone else put up a stream with different IDs. By the way, how did you find those unidentified streams? Did you just go through the numbers in random? I would like to try searching when the current ones got taken down again.
well, i was just looking for the new channel on chinese forums. then i saw a post and try it. so as like i said, credits go to other. that is what i am also wondering, how did they got the new channel ? because if we know howto find, we can help to reconnect it by searching it in the right direction why would tvb and atv complain by the way? they already earning enough by commercials on the Hk television
Oh boy ... looks like all streams are down (except for the taped one), including the PPLive stream. Edit: It seems it was a temp glitch. I wouldn't mind paying either. We were already paying a small fortune for cable. 3TV seems to be one such service (see this old thread), but I don't trust them. Might be a scam.
Bro, anyone with experience on how to install the software and link it AC Ryan - PlayOnHD Mini player? thanks.
Hmmm I just tried right now and both of goofnerd's links and they are stil working....so I don't know why some of you are having problems. Perhaps a network problem...I am in the US btw. I also just tried opening an account and found that it was surprisingly easy to get a channel ID assigned. I am quite convinced now that anyone living in HK and with broardband internet and a TV capture card can stream TVB and ATV on sopcast. So it is not surprising that these channels come and go as often as they do. Only if we can find someone who would set aside an old desktop and let it stream in the background......... Phantoman - I checked out the 3TV web site you mentioned. Like you said, I wouldn't trust them. Paying them is going to be an issue anyway - they accept some kind of electronic $ in China. Price is not high though - about US$25 for 1 year of access.
very frustrating. seems to be a loop. tvb is downagain. when u like to c some other channel i have NOW, i believe a commercial channel [HIDE]sop://211.152.36.38:3912/6033 [/HIDE]
Well it comes and goes. This morning (Holland time) it was working again, but in the afternoon it stopped again and now it's back again ... pffff. I guess whoever is streaming the channel has other uses for his streaming PC from time to time ... or he is teasing us Also thanks for confirming my doubts about 3TV. Nope, it's not delayed for me at this time.
