    Yw, but you didn't answer my question ... so the direct links DO work for you or not ? Or you only have a problem with the direct links for TVB ?

    Phantoman or anyone that has a 3TV account:

    Instead of logging in using the upper left buttton, I suggest using the next button or the button after that. Log in using the buttons for the "Classic" versions of 3TV. I find that using the "Classic" version to watch is much better than using the version on the first upper left button.

    3tv is not the best quality, but it will always be there if nothing else works. Watching TVB using p2p programs is most likely the best option because the more people that watches, the better the quality. But there is always a chance that the p2p will be taken down. Here is the order of my preference of what I like to use to watch TVB based on quality:

    1. Sopcast - has the best picture quality.

    2. PPlive/PPTV - the picture is not as good as Sopcast. Also, TVB stream is based in China, not in Hong Kong.

    3. PPStream - same picture quality as PPLive. TVB stream is also from China. Most of the time, TVB channel is taken down.

    4. 3TV - It uses direct stream, which the quality is not as good as p2p. But 3TV is ALWAYS available for you to watch. 3tv is always trying to put more options for many of the Hong Kong channels because of the large demand for them. They also have many other channels from the other areas (Japan, China, Taiwan, US, etc.)

    For everyone that is asking for links from 3TV or trying to use someone else's account:
    I don't think that doing this is such a good idea. You just risk the chance of 3TV closing the account. I have tried to log in on 2 different computers in the SAME home, it wouldn't let me!

    You just have to pay a one-time fee of US$37 to get a 3TV account. This is a LIFETIME subscription!!! How can anyone complain about the quality of 3TV for this price?!?!? I have had 3TV for 3 years now. The TVB channels are not the greatest quality, but they are always trying to improve them with new links.

    I have not used 3TV in a while because TVB on PPLive still works. But for those that don't want to use 3TV to watch because of the quality, I have one suggestion for you. If you want the very BEST quality, go buy a Slingbox and put it in Hong Kong. This will GUARANTEED that you can watch any Hong Kong channels at anytime. You can watch any channels, at anytime, anywhere around the world on your computer, laptop, IPHONE, Blackberry, or Windows Mobile.

    For me the quality of TVB Jade HD on 3TV is as good as the one on SopCast (when it works). The other channels are of a lesser quality indeed. Anyway, just like you I do not use 3TV for TVB and use PPTV instead which has been very stable for years. The commercials might be from China, but if you are watching TVB just for the commercials, then I think you are wasting your bandwidth somehow.

    I would say, if you want the best quality, then get a satellite dish (or DirectTV or IPTV services depending on where you live) and a legit TVB subscription. If you choose anything else, then you do not have the right to complain. As simple as that.

    @boy7404: I will send you a private message (PM) through the forum later on when I get home.

    I guess the direct links do not work without a 3TV account. Like hawai mentioned, my account might be blocked if I lend it out to you. Are you looking for some specific channel on 3TV ?

    link problems

    All of the sopcast links that I tried to TVB are offline, can anyone please help and share some new sop links to any tvb channel/program? I really want to be able to allow my parents to see some TVB channels via the use of sopcast.

    used to be that we can at least get the itvb news from outside of HK:
    http://mytv.tvb.com/news/inews/live

    but starting recently, even this is now working , very strange. I need to resort to using proxy in order to access the itvb news.

    Slingbox is a device that you hook up to your cable box or satellite box, and it sends the tv signals through the internet. You can also change the channels like a remote control through your computer or mobile device. You can buy any version of the Slingbox, but make sure it is compatible in that country. If you have family or friends in Hong Kong, all you have to do is ask them to connect one to their cable box and you can watch the Hong Kong channels anywhere in the world.

    Here is some really good videos that i found from someone using a Slingbox from Hong Kong:

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spDP4q0rzPg"]YouTube- Slingbox Hong Kong TV Commercial[/ame]

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ-P3j-nMTs"]YouTube- Slingbox demo[/ame]

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfy0pqGa1V0"]YouTube- DSCF1048[/ame]

    I have the U.S. version of the Slingbox. I use my Slingbox mostly to watch sports on my HTC or my Iphone. If you are buying a Slingbox, don't buy the Slingbox Pro HD. Just buy the regular Slingbox and don't buy the more expensive Pro HD version. I have the Pro HD version. It was a waste of money buying the Pro HD because my HTC or IPhone can cannot watch in HD. So it was useless.

    You can now use your Slingbox on an Android device or Samsung Symbian device. You can also use it on your IPad now, which should have better picture quality.

    Here is the UK website:

    Here is the Hong Kong website:
