BTW the links also work on ios devices. There are no lags at all, which lead me to believe these are ios streams.
Thanks so much... finally iNews on my iPad again, I've been waiting for this long now time since Sopcast went down... hahaha Hope this will last long... ^^ Cheers!
apple tv Does that include apple tv jailbroken ios? I'm trying desperately to add these links to my xbmc for my father in law to watch cantonese programs. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
Yes and no. Only way I could get AppleTV to play is to use airplay. There must be a way to play with xbmc if you have the correct player.
There's another one TVB J2: http://live1.ms.tvb.com/tvb/tv/j2/03/prog_index.m3u8 you have to open VLC
Yes, you can still watch TVB on it. If you have further questions about the TVPad, then please go to the TVPad thread instead of this one.
I can help with XBMC: Open Notepad and put the link in a txt file, then save with a name like TVBStream. Change the extension from .txt to .strm and save it to somewhere where your XBMC can see as as source. Then in XBMC --> Videos---> Add source and go to the directory where you saved it and open it. Add it to favourites so you can select it from there. Hope this helps
It does freeze randomly on VLC. The funny thing is that running on iphone is smooth. So a player other than VLC may work better. If someone can experiment and report back here will be great. (Already tried Real, quicktime, Windows media player, they all gave error messages).
just touch the link and safari opens up, then the player starts by itself. I assume that is the built-in quicktime player.
Those streams are definitely Apple streams. The Content-Type returned is: application/vnd.apple.mpegurl
My Android phone connect using MX player, so smooth without lag at all.... same as u guys, face random lag when using VLC on my laptop...However, the lag seems to be less if I change the caching to a higher value (2000ms)..not sure if it's help..
The links look like "live HTML5 streaming" (seen in some Apple Product Announcements in the past).. but how to play them in Windows besides VLC.
