Pakistan?! which ip are you referring to? 119.147.242.68? I got Guangzhou, China when I looked it up.
I have used ARP poisoning on both wired and wifi devices. And yeah, you will usually end up with a large amount of data to sift through, but you need to filter on the device's IP address and also time when you stop sniffing (e.g. you do not want to sniff after the stream has started playing, because that will most likely be tons of useless UDP packets). Interceptor-NG has some nice tutorial Youtube videos to look at. I hope they were updated for the last version though. Yeah me too. Not sure where Pakistan came from So these latest direct streams are now useless for everybody ? Oh well, last night I was really impressed with the quality and how fluent they streamed.
As to the http://119.147.242.68:10007, TVB HD always disconnect easily, I set cache to 30000 ms (it seems there is some "Check" to disconnect you) - will try do more testing TVB News is ok, no problem Testing TVB (non-HD), still disconnect same as TVB HD after few mins Based on Windows 8 Task manager, it says it uses 1.6Mbps downstream. I use Splashtop touchpad to remote control the mouse
Is http://119.147.242.68:10007 a stream? I can't connect to it with VLC. Here's a random fact: I LOVE BANANAS!
There another IP involved and it looks like it belongs to HKBN network HK broadband Ltd So is the business model this - get subscription from HKBN, somehow route the streams to a server, package it up and monetise it by building an app get people to pay a sub? Has anyone had a bash at working out how to play the 42fgftgggfgfadfasrsf.ts streams???
The TVB Jade stream has been better today on my laptop. However, it still stops after a while. ATV and ATV HD channels work fine. Probably because not many people watch those channels. Both TVB Jade and TVB HD streams work much better on my desktop which is connected by wire. They are very smooth. It does buffer at times. But it is quick and isn't annoying. Sometimes, the streams will crawl to a stop. But all I have to do is open it up again and its fine. I'm running a 6Mbps connection based in Vancouver btw. I gave up on the android app because it just opens up BSPlayer lite, shows the loading screen and then goes back to the channel list. The device is running Android 2.3 Have the links for the other TVB channels been released?
I'm in new Zealand 14mbs connection most of the feeds are OK some are buffering but quality is good I'm running the android app on a cm9 4.04 HP touch pad I sometimes use BS lite or vplayer as some streams for me are better
You mean these streams? http://live1.ms.tvb.com/tvb/tv/jade/033.m3u8 高清翡翠台 http://live1.ms.tvb.com/tvb/tv/inews/022.m3u8 互动新闻台 Inside the file is a playlist ie: This info is from 2011 WWDC videos (IIRC) Above, there are 8 files, each is like 30 seconds each, it plays all of them in sequence (you don't notice pause in the 'switching of the next file') In HTML5 Live Video Streaming, it sends your current "ping time" back to the server, so after all those 8 files is nearly played, the server sends you another playlist file with the next 8 ts video links. Your "ping time" is analysed, to see if your connection is fast or slow, if slow (high ping time due to low d/l capacity on your side), it sends a different (lower bandwidth/lower quality/smaller size) version of the TS files, so you will never get "Buffering..." (the video never pauses) even if you all of a sudden got a weak wifi/3g/net congestion. For that stream above, I tried on ipad 3 with 5.1.1 and its ok (some pause but not big deal) but on iphone 4 with iOS 4.1, it always buffers, don't know if ios 5 will fix it or not (I have not upgrade because I have to keep modem baseband version at old version to unlock phone) don't know about iphone 4s To get HTML5 live video stream to work correctly, one would have to copy some HTML/JS code from uStream/JustinTV? and replace the links for the servers from uStream into the TVB ones (?) Also some shows are not viewable (it's green background for the news channel, but I didn't make screen capture) (not sure about the http://119.147.242.68:10007, could not get TVB to play long enough to look at it)
If you read the "New Features" section of the app on Google Play it says that the 1st month is free. So I guess it will be a paid app at some point. Already taken care of They use these force:// links though which you cannot play like the other http streams. I will release info on how to play these later on.
Looks like they saw me coming. The force:// links do not work anymore :( Do the other TVB channels still work for anyone using the Android app ?
Android app never worked for me. TVB Jade is buffering quite frequently and stopping completely after a few minutes now. If they are going to make people pay, they better work out the buffering issues. I wouldn't mind dropping a few bucks a month to have access to it on my computer.
I wonder if the people behind the Android app got afraid of us, lol. The app has been removed from Google Play!!!
Just tested the Android app... some TVB channels are still working. (is it called TVB lifestyle channel? Those are still okay) Cheers
I saw some memebers had issues playing some of the streams in bs player liet, I sometimes click on the channel and then it goes black and returns back to the menu, I try again with another video player like daroon player/pps pad or vplayer and they work question is how do video codecs work in Android??
When I now play http://live1.ms.tvb.com/tvb/tv/jade/033.m3u8, it resolves to http://live1.ms.tvb.com/tvb/tv/jade/20120624T085724-03-169435.ts ...
Hey Phantoman, Any idea how one can convert a stream like this http://117.34.8.15:8080/live/16?key=SYDlCaYzv_LTn8Fhyb59GZ5FW8k So it can be used on XBMC (PC or ATV2)? I was able to convert the streams you posted before, but it seems lately they've added session tokens, CID, Key to the end of the link and those are generated randomly. I have a TVPad, but a lot of the other TVB station or mainland stations are not available there. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cliyeh
For XBMC, you would create and save a .strm file with the URL link inside, then go to Videos, open the file and it should stream. I did exactly this for my Eden XBMC set up and that link's quality is pretty good. Do you have any other similar links? I'm particularly interested in streams in Cantonese.
