Lol. I prefer the MKV for some reason.

Most VWs, like the Beetle, are built in Mexico. The cars higher up the VW line up like the GTI and GLI are built in Wolfsburg Germany.

Thanks. consumer reports put the VWs so-so. Was thnking about 1 down the road. I've never dealt w/ any german cars so I dunno.

It's a shame, that the japanese cars aren't built there anmore.

I would go for the Accord over the Civic for civilized driving. The bigger displacement engine would be better for comfortable crusing. If you like to DRIVE and wring ever ounce of power from the engine (and don't mind going to stratophic rpms) then get the civic.

I have driven both but I honestly prefer Nissan cars.

well, i drive an s2000 myself....and i test drove the civic si before...i have to say...just buy the accord...

civic si is cool...but if ur only buyin for looks? can u handle 6 speed ? driving stick all day long?

its also difficult to see in the Si...the front compartment sits high...u sit low...i hope your a tall person...

it def needs a suspension upgrade...as well....it handles good for stock car but if u step it up....u will need a tein suspension upgrade

i hope your tall....u sit low...and its hard to see the front....i cant imagine speeding around in that thing...

the civic si is very nice tho....red stitching for the type R feeling.....

civic will save you more gas.
accord tend to waste more gas than civic (from experience)

MPG difference between the SI and Accord is almost nothing. The 4 cylinder accord gets 1 more MPG city and 2 more MPG highway than the SI. The V6 model is identical to the SI, when it comes to fuel economy.

The only difference is that the civic requires higher octane fuel than the accord. However, the price difference in the fuel is about $0.20 a gallon so topping off with a higher octane fuel would shouldn't cost more than a few dollars.

I want to know if the poster had the 'truth' in purchasing the vehicle and what decision and if he/she could back it up !

I agree about the MPG. It's not a whole big deal as you expect it to be.
