A storm could not possible blow down the Star Ferry pier...-noclue Anyways...I live in Hong Kong and I can say the food is great. So be sure to stock on food here. I tend to hang around Mongkok the most cause there is lots to do there and also cheap. Go to the Peak, for a trek, go to Ocean Park, go to Tai Mei Tuk for cycling & BBQ....ummm wat else...well, oh catch a Janice concert at the end of March 29,30th & 31st. p.s. I got my tickets alread! wakakakaka
OMG I love HK. I'm in HK right now studying abroad. Here are some things that you should definitely do. 1. shopping in Mong kok, then TST, then Pacific Place, then Langham Place, then Causeway Bay 2. ride a ferry 3. go squid fishing if you get a chance 4. go hiking 5. EAT LIKE NO OTHER, the dessert places here are extra yummy especially Honeymoon dessert 6. if you want to party w/ American style music, then Lan Kwai Fong, but it's a lot more expensive than local places. Best clubbing places are Sugar and Hei Hei. Ladies night is usually on Wed sometimes thurs. night 7. go karoake. if you want to live it up, do Neway CEO, the best one is in Causeway Bay GET AN OCTOPUS CARD, if you don't already have one. It's the most convenient thing ever. Oh yeah tip for shopping. Try to speak Cantonese if you don't have a local HK person w/ u. They can tell by one glance that you rn't local. Have fun in HK. I'll be sad when I leave.....=(
very nice advice~! honeymoon desert is great!!! so many delicous deserts, my fav is still mango pudding, must be more adventurous next time and yes get an octopus card, so much more convenient, than tickets or change. Even use it for buying stuff from vending machines or places like 7/11 accept it
I've been to Hong Kong several times, and the best thing to do there is shipping. Everything there is cheap, including clothes, movies, games and food, and there are no tax. It's the best place to buy some chinese movies if you live in places like Canada where chinese movies are expensive to buy or even rent. Also, there are ocean parks and Disney World in Hong Kong which are worth going I guess.
bleh :( not going HK this year -cry2. but im 100% sure im going next year ^^ made a deal with my parents XD
Dont worry it will still be there next year in the mean time start saving your money now and be ready to blow it all next year
