In my case, Im studying civil engineering, so a lot of math is involved. The best way to study and to get good grades in subjects like math, physics, dynamic, etc, is understanding the theory part. For me the theory is more important than practice. So paying attention to classes and understanding those abstract ideas is the most important.

the last time i done that, was when sme of me m8s tempted me 2 go 2 the lib...jst 2 see some asian gals - in which they thought they were hot...xD lol...that din help anythin...

best advice, is 2 study without anythin that can distract ya...some ppl can study with music on, others can't rely..like me lol...but yea - somewhere quiet and decent...n if ya dont need the comp for it, then dont bother usin it when studyin...chances are - ya can be tempted 2 msn or do whateva business that ya do in ur "hobbies" ...lol

    worse case scenario, eva!! XD

never go to library with friends, go by your self.
sit in one of those tables wiht walls, to sop u from distracting your self.
set goals for today what to cover.

make all your notes on paper and pen, helped me..; i usually get distracted with comps

i ususally go to the tutoring center at my school. i think it really helps. it's pretty quiet and you can ask for help when you need it.

hmmm you dont have a gd memory... ermm i would advise summerising all the text into short points and trying to remember those points instead. I am sure if you remember the short points all the other text that build upon that point all should link onto it... hopefully...

    well gd luck ^^

for some odd reason i only seem to learn things when being taught one on one. =S (i.e i remember things when being taught just to me).
    errrmm
yeh planning ahead what you will revise throughtout the week. adding in 5 min breaks every 45 mins or something...
discussing the work with ur friends. discussing the topics? its really good this way. i learn by this way sometimes :) when im in some coffee shop with a few friends we discuss our work xD
    or.
QUIET ROOM! with NOOOO distractions..AWAY from the computer and TV!!!!!!

uh..my memory is horrible. the only way i can study is either in starbucks or library. i usually take a 10 min break after 45 mins. helps calm my brain down a little. oh yea and i give myself small conversations when i go over the notes and txts to assure myself that i understand.

Remember things by sexual references. Especially when learning about stuff like toxicity and deficiency for vitamins and minerals. Sore lips, dry mouth = Herpes. Headache, nausea, stomach pain = Pregnant. Those are only the subtle ones, dont wanna go into the others.

Starbucks or school library are the best places. In terms of memorizing, talk things out, make things relate and highlight stuff u write down if u wish to take that path. And one more thing, don't take it lightly, having some stress is a good thing, so you can keep urself on task.

as well..sometimes i cant focus in the library guess it really depends on when i wake up in the morning..
but there is always something much fun to do other than studying as im feeling it too...esp when its nearly

personally i like to study at home..
libraries dont have food a metre away.. and it's not convenient to use the washroom :p since i cant leave my stuff lying around..

    i love using cue cards
and i should be studying away from the computer.. but im not --'.. AHHH!

Library is a good place. Or in the hall ways.

This is how i study............. study for 45mins- break for 10min then continue back....... do this for like an hour or two.... and review it the next day for like 30 mins...

learn by doing, it is the best way to learn something, or if you can explain it to a dumber classmate, than you probably learned it well enough

Oh BB, try and stay focused on your studies! Have you tried turning the internet off to help prevent you from surfing the internet? Or you could find a study budy to study together because I find that helps. Perhaps ask one of the moderators to ban you from popularasians so you cannot post here because then it will make you study more and because I have noticed you post here nearly everyday, some days less posts and few days more posts.

Best way for me to study is relate everything to something I have experienced or know a lot about. I find when I'm not interested in the subject I'm studying about, I can read it over and over again and not retain anything so I try and find meaning in it and figure out how it all works so I can understand it rather than just memorize it.

^^ I do the same except I usually wait till the last couple of hours. I have really good short term memory so I am able to do really well on test. The sad thing is by the next day I forget most of the text that I studied. >.<
