lol , if its from a text book, read it slowly and write out the bits u dont know,=P its how i study for chinese haha, i write the characters i dunno lol.
idk i just repeat the information to myself and then quiz myself like ill read the information once and then quiz myself on that then what i got wrong i will look over agian and then quiz myself till i get it right and if i keep getting something wrong ill look at it and thing of some kind of trick in remebering it that way when you see it agian youll be like OHHH i remeber that it was blah blah blah and then after i get it were i got all of them right i will go threw the whole thing and keep studying the whole thing and if i keep getting it all right then im good
hmm..i usually read through all lecture notes and required readings...and take notes while im reading...after that..i mainly focus on assigned problems and keep going over my notes and highlight anything that is really important and must be memorized..and usually when i keep writing out the same thing over and over again..i seem to memorize stuff faster
I sleep on my textbooks and the information diffuses into my brain. xD; I'd probably suggest re-writing information, it always works for me. Or if you read things outloud while writing it down, it helps you retain knowledge faster. =P Good luck kid.
go to a quiet desk and with sufficient, bright lighting and read, highlight , then take notes on notebook of the facts (highlighted material). finally study the notes. this way the process of studying will help the info stick in your head.
studying can we fun, if you make yourself interested to learn. i get discourage or distracted by friends and laziness. Stateof mind is very important
it depends what you're studying for. if it's math, then i would do practice problems. if it's other classes... then i just try memorizing some of the key points especially the ones in the notes that your teacher went over. the best way to memorize is by actually writing things down. let's say you're going through the book and you go over something you think is important then i would write that down on a sheet of paper and continue going through the book. when you're done with all that, you can easily review what you've wrote down and it helps you remember stuff... i study last minute... why? because i procrastinate... is it good? no... i'd suggest not doing it unless you're me.
My memory is also terrible. Usually, a few days before any exam, I create "cheat sheets" to study from. They contain the main topics with supporting bullets/persons/dates etc. Then type it up after writing it down (so thats already 2 times that I've gone through it) and study the cheat sheets whenever I have free time (riding in the bus/subway, waiting in line, a few minutes scraped before classes start, reading it while eating, etc. Since I can concentrate almost in any atmosphere, it doesn't really affect where I am when I study.
never study the day before the test. study the day that u have a test. use the day before the test as a relaxing time so u wont be as nervous (if u care about the test). if u study the day that u have a test, u could do fine. Well.....that works for me back in the days when i was in HS/college.
Really? That works for you? I always get really nervous when i study on the test datet, but I would have already studied the day before.
I read over the text book and write out the topic at thr top of a page and try to write as much facts of it as i can...
just wack out at least 50+ hours for at least one month prior to the exam and i guarantee u shall suceed. not that i do that lol but im sure if u did that u would suceed. lol.
