By 'proof of contraction' the two propositional statements doesn't hold because normally I don't sit on the floor to study, until I figured out that is the best way. Nice avatar. lol
I study by making flash card or writing out all my notes again which take absolutly aggggges but its worth it in the end I guess
I rewrite things over and over again because it help me remember the stuff better. Making flashcard. study everyday for 20 minutes so I won't have to cram to many information at once.
For everything except math: I make notes and review and do as much sample problems as I can. For math: I pray that the butt rape will be fast and painless.
i handwrite all my notes... use mind maps.. and then go back to read them. no laptops/computers should be near... distractions..
I pretty much have a low level of ADD and I can't do the same thing for over 5 minutes without glazing over. I would start fidgeting or start doing something else. What I suggest for you to do is to study in increments. Taking breaks is important. Trying to absorb as much information as you can in an hour and cramming everything into your brain in isn't going to help. To really learn, you have to understand the material. I study in a completely different way since I can't keep my attention on anything. Last week I had to study the history of Jazz. I was given a study guide which was a 15 page packet. Instead of just straight reading, I looked up wikipedia articles of Jazz, and I youtubed videos of artists that were mentioned in the study guide. It may not work for everyone, but this actually helped me retain information much better. I'm not sure how I can explain how it works for me, but it just does... maybe it can help for you.
outline the important chapters in the textbook, look over class notes, and have some nice studying music in the background.
go hide in some corner in the library n make sure no one can disturb u... also make sure there is sufficient lightings so u dun fall asleep
Like everyone said, I believe the best way to study is the library. It's quiet (well, some are). There won't be any distractions like your computer at home. When I need to memorize things, I usually rewrite what I need to know, it helps.
the library is a nice place, but remember don't sit close to hot girls if u are a guy, and hot guys if u are a girl. I found it very distracting.
I usually play 1 song over and over again. It's weird for me to study with no sounds but if there are too much new songs, it'll just distract me. So i just play 1 song over and over again. I'll start to get into the song at the beginning. But gradually I start to concentrate on the work little by little.
Do tonnes of exercises. Seriously, this is the way I study besides memorising formulaes and equations. But once you've memorized them, just apply them over and over again in your exercises. It'll stick to your brain in no time.
Go to every class, review notes after class or read textbook if there's one, study ahead of time so you don't have to cram everything, do past tests
go to a coffee shop! writing down things help and take breaks to calm ur brain when u are studying no computers!!!!!! well down to the very end.. no internet! and relate things to real life situations and just make up a story of some sort to relate it so its easier to memorize and read notes over like 2-3 times
