i used to work at a buffet restaurant...we worked with "rounds" on busy days....mostly 4pm to 6pm, then 6pm to 8pm and one more 8pm to 10pm... when i go out for buffet dinner i always eat within like one hour =/
las vegas - Bellagio like 2 hours... but we had other stuff to do, otherwise we would have just sat there all day long. fuken incredible food.
How come I've never seen this thread before? I haven't been to many buffets and I've never timed it either but I recall a time eating in a HK buffet restaurant and I didn't like it there because everyone was greedy and 'see laai's' chatting so loud that I lost my appetite. On the other hand we were once invited to a western buffet in the HK Yacht Club and I ate a lot of the desserts....so much that the chef pastry was telling me he'd never seen a female loving his desserts so much because in his experience most women are on a stupid dieet haha. (he appreciates it that I ate a lot of the desserts, not saying that I ate everything as there was still plenty) But I think we stayed max. 2 hours I guess, when the chatting were over and we all had to carry our belly's outside.
I don't remember how long I stayed at a buffet the last time i went there, which i was probably 8 years old. Didn't matter to me much cuz the place was free for children who are under 10 years old. hehe
haha.. i dun really like buffets cos i can't eat a lot.. and hence not worth the price. usually stay just to chat..
buffets are too fulling so i stay till i am about to vomit because i have to eat my share. I never like to waste food though so i eat almost everything out of the plate.
About 4 hours...we weren't eating....just sitting there talking, looking at passing people and ensuring that we had food at the ready if we were to get hungry again. We had people walk past into the casino and then walk out 4 hours later and be amused that we were still sitting at the buffet. lol
i dont actully time it, it depends i when im done and full up haha.. i guess maybe 2 hours sometimes longer
until they close! hahaha but usually when everyones satisfied or ate more than the entry fee... Come to think of it, ive stayed for quite a long time.. meal after meal.. dessert.. fruit.. chats.. and coffee or something
