how many languages SHOULD you be able to speak?

    Cantonese, Mandarin (but I'm Half Banana.. Means Can't Speak Them Well.. No Idea Why My Frens Call Me That..)
    English, Malay, Bit Indian..

    I only know English, Cantonese, Malay and sign language. I hope I knoe Mandarin too. I understand and speak, but couldn't write it.

    I can speak um...english, canto and some french but I'm learning frnech but crap at it so that doesn't count :D

    Man I was enjoy that. Anyways I should be able to speak and understand English, Cantonese, Chi Chiao (dunno how to spell it) it's a variation of cantonese, Manderin and Vietnamese.
    Sometimes when I speak cantonese I automatically switch to chi chiao because they are soo similar but then whoever I'm speaking to dosen't understand me. Also I can speak cantonese better than Vietnamese but can understand vietnamese better than I can cantonese

    school: dutch (in the netherlands)
    at home: parents speak canto, i can speak it too
    my friends: i've some turkish frends and they often speak turkish and sometimes i can understand it!
    but at school i'm learning: english, french, german
