Okay, I found some stuff about mkv because I downloaded some stuff off Azureus before in that format and i was wondering what it was. It's just pretty much a high quality format, so it's like, really big. Basically, just convert it using WinAvi to "DVD" format. You'll get two folder inside thta DVD_01 folder. When you burn it, just select the Video_TS and it should be fine.
well i used WinAvi the trial version but timing is very bad so i started to use SUPER VIDEO CONVERTER and it's free and a very good converter!
MKV can CONTAIN different things. In most cases, it contains one video stream and one audio stream. Problem i s if u put it into the blender (namely WinAVI) which just shoves everything into 1 pattern it won't work. Its cause rates of audio and video are different in general. Methods: Strip the audio and video as independent <------- which means you have to download a program (NOT WINAVIXXXX) some programs which will help : Super : http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html Prism : http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html or look it up on http://www.free-codecs.com/ for converters Rip audio and Mp3 format and video to AVI then merge into 1 file = complete Pros of MKV = multiple audio and subs Cons: What ever your facing - long and meaning less stuff xD
hey HeavySmoker! thanx for the websites! i already used Prism converter i dont remember why i didnt like that converter i think it was timing? and like i said SUPER is a very good converter and lately i'm using XILISOFT VIDEO CONVERTER and it's good but dont know if it is free to download!
with this certain file format does convertxtodvd work? 'cos i got seperate sutitles files and with this program it includes ALL the subs.
One of friends said to try it, but i nvr got a chance. I still prefer Virtual Dub and Virtual Dub Mod - Can make mkvs straight to Mpegs1/2 I tested ConverXtoDVD end of last year. I followed that ConvertXtoDVD guide to turn those files into DVD files with a menu and then burn them on to a 4.7GB. Everything worked and all - can choose dif subs. So then I tried burning the same VOBs using Nero but that didn't work either =.=
