The ending was too abrupt...i was expecting more action. Quite a disappointment. But it was interesting how the movie played with emotions. Esp when will smith lost his only friend...sam
I enjoyed the movie UNTIL the woman started turning up. I thought it was great to see how meticulous his actions were. but once the chick came in going all "god let me here. god is my saviour. lets all believe in god. god sends me to places", i had to throw up a little in my mouth.
I thought the movie was ok. I think it would have been better if they used real people instead of CG. The movie did get kind of boring after the lady came and it was pretty annoying that she didn't know who Bob Marley was. I mean it was the year 2012 and she looked like she was 30 something; who doesn't know Bob Marley?
I thought it was a good film and Will Smith has done another great movie after the pursuit of the happiness in acting-wise. The only thing I dislike the movie is the ending, the movie ends too quick after Will Smith has died.
I thought the movie was alright. I would have wanted maybe a lil view of how it would be maybe 5 years later or something. And I didn't really quite grasp the moral of the story.... :/ Not to mess with viruses???
Actually realized how similar this is with the resident evil movies, although the acting is just heaps better from will smith. but the story here coulda been more conclusive or just better explained and such, it's praised as a mind blowing movie type shit, don't get me wrong, it started off that way, but when it concluded, felt half-assed. just wished this movie wasn't one of those that i felt wasn't long/explained enough but it is.
I Am Legend (book) was really the progenitor of the zombie genre, and I believe the movie would have done better staying true to the book. No other survivors, no cure, he dies at the end, roll credits.
I watched the movie last night, and it was only ok. I read the book, loved it, and watched the movie thinking that it would be similar to the novel. Wasn't at all. I was rather dissappointed. I wouldn't say they were vampires either. They were more zombie like. Begining was rather enjoyable, but went downhill after that. Dissappointed at how little action there was in the movie. I didn't really like the ending either.
found it an enjoyable film, story wasnt original or anything but was above average. Agree it was overhyped though, if i went in without such high expectations would have enjoyed it alot more
i agree the movie is a kind of hype... there was too little action, although the action was good when it was there. also, being the 'only' person alive (will smith) is not gonna help much either if the only other living being is a dog who can't talk obviously
