I just killed a snake!!!

    I don't know where you live (your av says Aruba?), but you need to take close up pictures of that snake (head top and side views, tail top and side views, body markings front and back) and then look on the net in order to determine species and geographic origins. The purpose of such action is to determine the degree of danger (lethality) from such a snake, and to discover how it came to be in your house. Note, you should wear disposable gloves when handling animals or reptiles, dead or not. Snakes (indeed, even insecta and rodentia) have been found in the soil of tropical plants collected in the tropics which are then sold to commercial retail outlets like Home Depot, and transported to the US. But, if you're indeed in the tropics then you should check for access routes as there may be others that have worked their way into your residence. A professional exterminator may be in order to ensure you and your family's safety.
