i guess you have a very conservative and being stubborn personality.. if you don't mind making friends with people who are in other race but it would be very hypocritical to say you don't want to be in a serious relationship with them??
in the way that you explained that you are not being racist, but you are if you are judging them by their skin colour for whatever reason... seriously open up your mind and you will find out everyone whatever the race is the same??

I would have to agree with most of the people who would have long term relationship with the same race but for dating and just have fun in life i don't mind what that race is. The only thing that matter is that they are a girl.

Accept the truth? Of what? Your narrow views? Maybe sex and money is all that exists between your petty little corner of the Asian world and the the rest of humanity. While you are entitled to your own views, I view your racist opinion with derision. "No offense?" Hardly; your views are pretty damned offensive. From where I sit, I have plenty of mixed raced cousins, nieces and nephews in my extended family and all are the product of successful and rewarding Asian White relationships; so no, you can keep your racial "truths" to yourself.

Or lets put it this way, not all interracial relationships spring from the gutters of Olongapo.

Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with a person preferring their own race when it comes to finding a partner. It's a preference. Not racism. Just like how some girls prefer tall guys. Does that mean they are discriminating against short people? No. Many prefer their partners to be good looking. Does that mean they are discriminating against ugly people? No. No one said you people are wrong for liking what you like.. why are you saying the OP is wrong for preferring their own race? Don't get me wrong people, I'm supportive of interracial relationships.

I personally am more attracted to my own race. Maybe it is because I want to find someone who share my culture? If I ever meet a man who is not of the same race as me that I am attracted to, I am willing to give it a try. However, it hasn't really happen to me yet.

I love them asian guys :shifty:

There is nothing wrong with preferring your own race; but stating that when your own race is mixed with another is to be loveless and the simple product of sexual capitalism, is a purely racist rant. What is evident then is not one's preference for one's own race, but rather one's dislike and disdain for another. That is, the stated position then comes across not as one of: I prefer Asians, but rather as one of: I hate whites.

    A big difference IMHO.

wtf??? ppl are still talking about this old thread. but anyway i do agree with this one:

i also think that relationship between 2 ppl isnt just about those 2 ppl. i think u gotta make sure ur parents are at least comfortable with ur partner. they dont have to like ur partner but at least comfortable. many ppl nowadays dont much care about how ur parents will feel, or how ur friends will feel about it cause "love conquers all..." wat ppl fail to realize is that u are actually overlooking or risking ur parents' and ur friends' love for ur own personal love.

isn't it easier if you guys are the same race? I find it so much easier to relate to that person if she the same race as me. Now, other race can work also. I just think that it is a little harder.

Really? And what language is that? I didn't realize that Asian is a language. Also, I didn't realize that White or black meant English. Further, I even know some ethnic Chinese that can't communicate with their in laws because of different dialects, or the fact that they're ABC's or CBC'c, and their Chinese sucks, LOL.... :rolleyes2:

Asians do not all speak the same language, and neither do whites nor blacks. Also, imagine if your white GF or BF stated to you that they can't marry you because their parents want them to marry someone who speaks English? LOL...

  13. haha, its so surprising when a non-Chinese speaks it but its nothing when Chinese speak English, maybe there is a subconscious thing where people think others are not capable of learning their language or its not worth learning or something -shrug

That sort of reminds me once when I met a non Asian girl's parents, whose Dad told me "wow, you really speak good English..." To which I replied without any tone of irony, "Why that's amazing, so do you!"

That relationship never got too far, LOL... -bowroflarms

Same here I think i would prefer the same race too, I think it's cause of having the same culture which makes it easier to get along with. Or I dunno... cause from what I noticed from friends relationships with different race is that there are alot of things that they think differently because of culture. ;[

I prefer dating within my race as well, but I'm not racist. I just have a higher preference for Asians (meaning, I won't turn someone down JUST because he's not Asian) when it comes to dating, but outside of dating, I treat people of all races equally.
